2025-2029 Work Plan

As Lake Whatcom Management Program partners, the City of Bellingham, Whatcom County, and Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District are working together to develop a coordinated five-year work plan to meet program goals for the protection of Lake Whatcom and its watershed. The 2025-2029 draft work plan accepted public comment from July 25-August 25, 2024. Thank you to everyone who provided input on the draft Lake Whatcom Management Program 2025-2029 Work Plan via Engage Bellingham and email. All comments received by August 25, 2024 were considered by the Lake Whatcom Management Program partners during the development of the final plan. A summary of public comments, staff responses, and work plan edits are linked below.

The revised work plan will be reviewed by the Lake Whatcom Policy Group at their next meeting on December 4, 2024. Meeting materials will be available on the Lake Whatcom Policy Group Meeting Materials webpage.
